Thin‐Film Transistor Based Active Taxel for Multimode Tactile Perception and Fused Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Skin serves as the largest‐area organ for human and embodied intelligent robots, providing tactile interaction. An active multimode fused (AMF) artificial skin is developed using standard TFT processes, featuring 2T‐1C taxels with optical and electrostatic capacitive receptors for cross‐modal sensing.

Metal Battery Anode: Rich in Electrons, Rich in Problems: A Critical Review from Industrial Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metal‐anode batteries using Li, Na, Mg, and Ca offer exceptionally high energy density, but dendrites, unstable interphases, cracking, and pore formation hinder durability and safety. This review shows how careful electrolyte and interphase design can stabilize these reactive metals.

Oxygen‐Driven Structural Reorganization by Trace Water Enabling Fast Li‐Ion Transport in a Pliable Solid Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Trace water is acting as a constructive mediator in 2LiCl–GaF3, markedly increasing ionic conductivity while reorganizing local coordination. Hydration creates localized Li+ solvation environments and partially dissociates ion pairs, enhancing Li‐ion mobility.

Molecular Indicators of Sources and Biodegradation of Organic Matter in Sediments of Fluid Discharge Zones of Lake Baikal

open access: yesGeosciences, 2022
This paper performs a detailed study of a wide set of organic-geochemical proxies in 15 sediment cores collected from the main basins of Lake Baikal (the northern, the central and the southern) where processes of focused fluid discharge were detected.

Tunable Regional Targeting of Self‐Assembling Peptide Nanomaterials in Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
In a rat model of acute myocardial infarction, intravascular delivery of peptide nanofibers with a collagen‐targeting peptide bound to the infarct vasculature while globular peptide nanoparticles penetrated into the infarct area. This study demonstrated that size, shape, and surface chemistry of nanomaterials control the delivery location within the ...

Lacustrine Groundwater Discharge Through Giant Pockmarks (Lake Neuchatel, Switzerland)

open access: yesFrontiers in Water, 2020
Pockmarks are circular depressions on the floor of oceans and lakes and constitute potential hot spots of gas ebullition and/or groundwater discharge. Marine pockmarks are well-studied, whereas lacustrine pockmarks are virtually unexplored.

Equilibrium of Self‐Formed, Single‐Thread, Sand‐Bed Rivers

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2021
Equilibrium geometry of single‐thread rivers with fixed width (engineered rivers) is determined with a flow resistance relation and a sediment transport relation, if characteristic discharge, sediment caliber and supply are specified.
