A Table of Some Coherency Matrices, Coherency Matrix Factors, and Their Respective Mueller Matrices [PDF]
Many books on polarization give tables of Mueller matrices. The coherency matrix has been found useful for interpretetion of the Mueller matrix. Here we give a table of Mueller matrices M, coherency matrices C, and coherency matrix factors F for ...

The Cone of Mueller Matrices [PDF]
In the study of polarized light, there are two basic notions: the Stokes vectors and the matrices which preserve them, called Mueller matrices. The set of Stokes vectors forms a cone: the Future Light Cone. In this work we will see that the Mueller matrices also form a cone in the vector space of real matrices of size 4X4, called the Mueller Cone.

Decomposition and interpretation of Mueller matrices [PDF]
The various decompositions of depolarizing Mueller matrices into products of basic optical devices, i.e. retarders, diattenuators and depolarizers, are critically revisited.

Parallel decompositions of Mueller matrices and polarimetric subtraction [PDF]
From a general formulation of the physically realizable parallel decompositions of the Mueller matrix M of a given depolarizing system, a procedure for determining the set of pure Mueller matrices susceptible to be subtracted from M is presented. This

Exploring the Polarization of Light in Ferrofluids with Mueller Matrices [PDF]
We studied the polarization of light in a thin film of ferrofluid subjected to a magnetic field using the Mueller matrix formalism. By observing the results of some experiments, we relate the observed light patterns with Stokes vectors that can be ...

Characterization of Mueller matrices in retroreflexellipsometry [PDF]
Ellipsometry is a widely-used technique for characterizing materials and thinfilms. The principle is based on the polarization changes after light is reflectedor transmitted at a sample. In general, the shape of the sample should be flat ornearly flat because ellipsometry is sensitive to the angle of incidence, tilt angleand the sample position (height

Symmetric decomposition of Mueller matrices reveals a new parametric space for polarimetric assistance in colon cancer histopathology [PDF]
Tissue polarimetry could be identified as a complementary optical and non-invasive technique to assist the gold standard histopathology analysis of tissue.

Characterization of the Mueller Matrix: Purity Space and Reflectance Imaging
Depolarization has been found to be a useful contrast mechanism in biological and medical imaging. The Mueller matrix can be used to describe polarization effects of a depolarizing material. An historical review of relevant polarization algebra, measures

Using a dynamic Mueller matrix in modeling of retinal birefringence scanning systems
Polarization modeling by means of the Mueller matrix formalism is widely used for representation and optimization of the performance of complex polarization-sensitive systems. Yet, this turns out to be a challenge, as soon as such systems become dynamic,
