Calibration of a collinear backscattering Mueller matrix imaging system
A collinear backscattering Mueller matrix (CBMM) imaging system has clear advantages in the detection of bulk biological tissues, which are highly scattering and depolarizing.

Mueller matrix polarimetry with 3D integral imaging
In this paper, we introduce the Mueller matrix imaging concepts for 3D Integral Imaging Polarimetry. The Mueller matrix of a complex scene is measured and estimated with 3D integral imaging. This information can be used to analyze the complex polarimetric behavior of any 3D scene.

Broadband extended source imaging Mueller-matrix polarimeter [PDF]
An imaging Mueller matrix polarimeter, named the red-green-blue (RGB)950, takes images of medium-sized (tens of centimeters) objects by using a very bright source, large polarization state generator, and high-quality camera. Its broadband extended light source switches between red, green, blue, and near-infrared light to allow taking polarimetric ...

Full-Field Stokes–Mueller Matrix Imaging Polarimetry System Based on Electro-Optical Modulators
A new full-field Stokes–Mueller polarimetry system with no moving parts is proposed for imaging the Mueller matrix of optical samples. The polarization state generator (PSG) of the proposed system contains two electro-optical (EO) modulators to ...

An investigation of the Eigenvalue Calibration Method (ECM) using GASP for non-imaging and imaging detectors [PDF]
Polarised light from astronomical targets can yield a wealth of information about their source radiation mechanisms, and about the geometry of the scattered light regions.

Mueller matrix imaging ellipsometry for nanostructure metrology
In order to achieve effective process control, fast, inexpensive, nondestructive and reliable nanometer scale feature measurements are extremely useful in high-volume nanomanufacturing. Among the possible techniques, optical scatterometry is relatively ideal due to its high throughput, low cost, and minimal sample damage.

Tight focal spots using azimuthally polarised light from a Fresnel cone [PDF]
When focusing a light beam at high numerical aperture, the resulting electric field profile in the focal plane depends on the transverse polarisation profile, as interference between different parts of the beam needs to be taken into account.

Time-resolved Mueller matrix imaging polarimetry
We present a new method of time-resolved Mueller matrix imaging polarimetry for spatial and temporal characterization of the polarization effects in backscattering from turbid media. The technique allows measuring the time evolution of spatially varying polarization patterns of diffusely backscattered light with picosecond resolution.

Mueller Matrix Decomposition of Diffuse Reflectance Imaging in Skeletal Muscle [PDF]
doi:10.1364/AO.48.002625Propagation of polarized light in skeletal muscle is significantly affected by anisotropic muscle structures. To completely characterize muscle polarization properties, we acquired the whole Mueller matrix images of the diffuse ...
