Prostatic specific antigen-positive adenocarcinoma arising from a stromal tumor of uncertain malignant potential in the Müllerian cyst of the male genital tract: A case report

open access: yesHuman Pathology: Case Reports, 2020
We report a case of prostatic-specific antigen (PSA)-positive adenocarcinoma arising from a stromal tumor of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP) in the Müllerian cyst of the male genital tract.

Persistent Müllerian Duct Syndrome: Understanding the Challenges

open access: yesCase Reports in Urology, 2022
Persistent Müllerian duct syndrome (PMDS) is a rare autosomal recessive condition defined by the presence of Müllerian duct-derived structures in an otherwise normally masculinized phenotypical and genotypical (46,XY) male.

Young bodies, aging ovaries: A systematic review and meta‐synthesis of women's perspectives on spontaneous premature ovarian insufficiency

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.

Anti-mullerian hormone and antral follicle count in polycystic ovary syndrome and non-polycystic ovary syndrome women

open access: yesZanco Journal of Medical Sciences, 2019
Background and objective: Although the ultimate pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome remains obscure, the distinctive feature is the failure of follicular maturation resulting in an ovulation and accumulation of preantral and small antral follicles ...

Functional redundancy of TGF-beta family type receptors and receptor-smads in mediating anti-Mullerian hormone-induced Mullerian duct regression in the mouse [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Amniotes, regardless of genetic sex, develop two sets of genital ducts: the Wolffian and Mulerian ducts. For normal sexual development to occur, one duct must differentiate into its corresponding organs, and the other must regress.

Surgically confirmed severe endometriosis is associated with lower risk of steatotic liver disease: Evidence of estrogen‐linked hepatic–reproductive crosstalk

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Severe surgically confirmed endometriosis was associated with a lower prevalence of steatotic liver disease than non‐severe disease. Higher estradiol levels may partly explain this inverse hepatic–reproductive association, supporting integrated gynecologic and hepatologic risk assessment.
