The emergent field of computational photography is proving that, by coupling generalized imaging optics with software processing, the quality and flexibility of imaging systems can be increased. In this paper, we capture and manipulate multiple images of a scene taken with different aperture settings ( f -numbers ...

Wire-wound multi-aperture collimators
Physics in Medicine & Biology, 1979A method by which a variety of multi-aperture collimators for X-ray imaging may be made is described. Wires are laid around frames of pins or slots, with alternate 'north-south' and 'east-west' directions, to make grids which are stacked to make a pattern of square openings which are the collimator apertures.

Multi-aperture coherent imaging
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Aperture synthesis offers the potential for high resolution images in a relatively compact system. We describe our multiaperture IMAGE testbed which uses coherent detection to measure the complex field in spatially separated apertures. We describe a post-detection optimization algorithm which is used to synthesize a composite image whose angular ...

Thin Multi-Aperture Microscope
2019 24th Microoptics Conference (MOC), 2019The design and the set-up of a thin multi-aperture microscope is introduced. It utilizes an array of identical micro-optical channels, each magnifying a limited field of view onto a CMOS camera as detector array. The very compact system can capture a large field of view by microscopic lateral scanning.

Multi-aperture hyperspectral imaging
Imaging and Applied Optics, 2013Snap-shot hyperspectral imagers remain prohibitively expensive for many applications. An array of low-cost, spectrally distinct, miniature cameras capture high spectral and spatial resolution data-cubes with the aid of computational reconstruction.

Multi-aperture snapshot compressive hyperspectral camera
Optics Letters, 2018In this Letter, we present a new snapshot hyperspectral (HS) camera based on a multi-aperture design. The technique uses an array of modified Fabry-Perot resonators together with a lens array in order to acquire an array of spectrally multiplexed modulated sub-images.
