Multi-Attribute Decision Making in Risk Analysis
2016Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) is commonly used when we are comparing more than two courses of actions or alternatives based upon many selected criteria. This chapter presents methodologies to conduct MADM analysis for risk analysis and risk assessment across a variety of topics.

Multi-attribute decision making using constrained criteria
Computers & Operations Research, 1977Abstract A previous paper discussed a constrained-decision-criteria approach to multiple criteria decision making in a uni-attribute framework. This paper illustrates the extension of that approach to the multi-attribute case. In contrast to the usual methods employed with multiple attributes, the extension avoids amalgamation and preserves the ...

Multi-attribute decision making with generalized fuzzy numbers
Journal of the Operational Research Society, 2015This paper proposes a multi-attribute decision-making method with generalized fuzzy numbers (GFNs). In the proposed method, the distance between GFNs is calculated using the Hausdorff distance. Based on the maximizing deviation degree, the attribute weights are determined by a linear programming model.

Approaches to Linguistic Multi-Attribute Decision Making
2012A variety types of multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problems occur in our daily life, such as investment decision making, project appraisal, maintenance and repair services, weapon system performance evaluation, plant siting, tendering and bidding, and comprehensive evaluation of economic benefits, etc. (Wang and Fu, 1993).

Introduction to Multi-attribute Decision Making in Business Analytics
2014Multi-attribute decision making (MADM) is commonly used when we are comparing more than two courses of actions or alternatives based upon many selected criteria. In this chapter, we present methodologies to conduct MADM analysis. These methodologies include data envelopment analysis (DEA), simple additive weighting (SAW), analytical hierarchy process ...
