A compromised approach to multi-attribute decision making in IF-sets
2010 Seventh International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2010The aim of this paper is to extend the VIKOR method to an intuitionistic fuzzy compromise approach to multi-attribute decision making (MADM) in intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) sets. The VIKOR method presumes crisp data while fuzziness is inherent in decision information and decision making process.

Multi-attribute decision making with dynamic weight allocation
Intelligent Decision Technologies, 2014This paper tries to solve the multiple attributes decision-making problems with dynamic weight allocation. It is difficult to represent decision maker's subjectivity if we use only objective method in the whole decision-making process. Because of the complexity of attribute weight allocation, it could not reflect the objective essence only based on ...

Multi-attribute decision making using constrained criteria
Computers & Operations Research, 1977Abstract A previous paper discussed a constrained-decision-criteria approach to multiple criteria decision making in a uni-attribute framework. This paper illustrates the extension of that approach to the multi-attribute case. In contrast to the usual methods employed with multiple attributes, the extension avoids amalgamation and preserves the ...

Fuzzy Random Multi-attribute Decision Making Method
2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2008Fuzziness and randomness are two key aspects of uncertainty. During decision making process, it is a normal situation that fuzzy and random variables appear simultaneously. Fuzzy random multi-attribute decision making (FRMADM) is to select the best alternative or rank alternatives among limited feasible alternatives, under fuzzy and random conditions ...

APPROACHES TO MULTI-STAGE MULTI-ATTRIBUTE GROUP DECISION MAKING [PDF]
Multi-stage multi-attribute group decision making (MS-MAGDM) as a familiar decision activity that usually occurs in our daily life, such as multi-stage investment decision making, medical diagnosis, personnel dynamic examination, military system efficiency dynamic evaluation, etc. The aim of this paper is to investigate MS-MAGDM problems in which both

Multi-attribute decision making by consumers associations
European Journal of Operational Research, 1986Abstract Many consumers associations provide their readers with comparative tests in their magazines. In this paper, three multiple criteria decision methods are compared on 49 sets of products in order to study the coherence and the stability of the results.

Varying Weights in Multi-Attribute Decision Making
Volume 4: 20th International Conference on Design Theory and Methodology; Second International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems, 2008Extreme cases that contain either extremely high or pretty low preference attribute(s) are investigated for multi-attribute decision making problems. Normal cases occur most of the time, and many existing methods have been developed to support the decision making in such scenarios.

On the Exams of a Multi-Attribute Decision Making Electronic Course
2007This paper gives brief information about a new electronic course for enhanced learning in making optimal decisions using the Multi-Attribute Decision Making paradigm. Emphasis is put on the construction of the exams of this electronic course. In order to provide ready to use tests for students' exams, an algorithm based on a Monte Carlo method was ...

Introduction to Multi-attribute Decision Making in Business Analytics
2014Multi-attribute decision making (MADM) is commonly used when we are comparing more than two courses of actions or alternatives based upon many selected criteria. In this chapter, we present methodologies to conduct MADM analysis. These methodologies include data envelopment analysis (DEA), simple additive weighting (SAW), analytical hierarchy process ...

Multi-attribute Decision-Making Support System
2019This chapter presents three multi-attribute decision-making support methods, i.e., an improved entropy weight method, evidential reasoning, and interval evidential reasoning. The decision-making methods based on ER and IER approaches are used to determine a final optimal solution from the Pareto-optimal solutions obtained by multi-objective ...
