Performance Improvement of Multi-Blade Centrifugal Fan by Using Optimal Bionic Blade
Volume 8: Turbomachinery, Parts A, B, and C, 2012The aim of this paper is to obtain a higher flow rate and lower noise multi-blade centrifugal fan by employing a type of optimized bionic blade. The design of experiment with orthogonal array tables is used in the optimization process. The factors of the geometric parameters of the bionic blade which selected in the present study are leading edge ...

This research was inspired by the long-eared owl's ability to fly silently. For the first time in this study, a wind turbine blade is designed to mimic the wing surface and the leading edge of the long-eared owl. The commonly used two-dimensional blade profile in previous studies is replaced by a more effective three-dimensional profile.

Design Optimization of A Multi-Blade Centrifugal Fan With Variable Design Flow Rate
Transactions of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers B, 2004This paper presents the response surface optimization method using three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis to optimize the shape of a forward-curved blades centrifugal fan. For numerical analysis, Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with k- turbulence model are discretized with finite volume approximations. In order to reduce huge computing time

Three types of bell mouth with the inward bell mouths whose exit diameter are larger than the impeller inner diameter of multi-blade centrifugal fan used in floor standing air-conditioner are investigated by using the numerical simulation method. Three bell mouths are as follows: The first type of bell mouth is the inward inlet used in the original air-

Performance improvement of multi-blade centrifugal fan based on impeller outlet flow control
Physics of FluidsThe impeller of the multi-blade centrifugal fan significantly impacts the fan's internal flow field and aerodynamic performance. To improve the axial flow distribution along the impeller and suppress the blade passage backflow at the impeller outlet of multi-blade centrifugal fans, a method of variable chord length blade design is proposed ...

Research on noise reduction of a multi-blade centrifugal fan based on splitter blades technology
Physics of FluidsSplitter blades were designed for the impeller of a multi-blade centrifugal fan in a range hood. The effects of different radial positions, circumferential positions of short blades, and number of splitter blade pairs on the overall noise performance of the fan were studied in detail through experimental testing methods.

Noise Reduction Design for Dryer Multi-Blade Centrifugal Fan Using a Multi-Fidelity Model
INTER-NOISE and NOISE-CON Congress and Conference ProceedingsIn the wake of COVID-19, as interest in household appliance noise has grown, dryers have become essential electronic devices. This study aims to reduce noise by optimally designing the airflow of the multi-vane centrifugal fan and scroll-key factors in drying performance.
