Physics of Fluids
The impeller serves as the core aerodynamic component of multi-blade centrifugal fans, playing a pivotal role in determining their overall energy efficiency. However, traditional two-dimensional planar deformation design methods exhibit significant limitations when addressing complex internal flows.

In this paper, the response surface method using three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis to optimize the shape of a multi-blade centrifugal fan, is described. For numerical analysis, Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with standard k - c turbulence model are transformed into non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system, and are discretized with

Research on noise reduction of a multi-blade centrifugal fan based on splitter blades technology
Physics of FluidsSplitter blades were designed for the impeller of a multi-blade centrifugal fan in a range hood. The effects of different radial positions, circumferential positions of short blades, and number of splitter blade pairs on the overall noise performance of the fan were studied in detail through experimental testing methods.
