Hydrodynamics, acoustics and scaling of traveling bubble cavitation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Recent observations of the geometries of growing and collapsing bubbles over axisymmetric headforms have revealed the complexity of the "microfluidmechanics" associated with these flows (Hamilton et al., 1982, Briancon Marjollet and Franc, 1990, Ceccio ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Multi-scale structure patterning by digital-mask projective lithography with an alterable projective scaling system

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
We report a flexible and efficient method to pattern two-dimensional (2D) multi-scale structures by digital-mask projective lithography (DMPL) with an alterable projective scaling system.

A Multi-Floor Location Method Based on Multi-Sensor and WiFi Fingerprint Fusion

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Aiming at the problems of high time overhead, low positioning accuracy, and inability to meet the requirements of indoor positioning applications in WiFi and Pedestrian Dead Rockoning (PDR) positioning technologies, a cross-layer positioning method based

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Autonomous Multi-dimensional Slicing for Large-Scale Distributed Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Slicing is a distributed systems primitive that allows to autonomously partition a large set of nodes based on node-local attributes. Slicing is decisive for automatically provisioning system resources for different services, based on their requirements or importance.

Simulated Neutral Landscape Models and Scaling Results for Testing of Multi-Dimensional Grid-Point Scaling Algorithm

open access: yes, 2018
The data package contains (1) simulations of neutral landscape models of categorical data for benchmark testing of scaling algorithms, and (2) scaling results for testing consistency and sensitivity of the newly developed Multi-Dimensional Grid-Point ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Black holes and the swampland: the deep throat revelations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Multi-centered bubbling solutions are black hole microstate geometries that arise as smooth solutions of 5-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 Supergravity.

Differentiating intraday seasonalities through wavelet multi-scaling

open access: yes, 2001
It is well documented that strong intraday seasonalities may induce distortions in the estimation of volatility models. These seasonalities are also the dominant source for the underlying misspecifications of the various volatility models.
