Dynamic Event-Triggered, Fixed-Time Control for Heterogeneous Multi-Agent Systems with Hybrid DoS Attacks

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, the fixed-time, quasi-consensus control problem for heterogeneous multi-agent systems (HMASs) under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks is investigated.

Performance Assessment of a Multi-energy System for a Food Industry

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2015
AbstractThe energy saving is becoming an important topic also in the food industry. For this reason, it is important to use multi-energy systems to produce hot water for processes and space heating. The application considered in this paper, which concerns a chocolate factory, focuses on the hot water production through a multi-source storage tank.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Technical Approaches and Institutional Alignment to 100% Renewable Energy System Transition of Madeira Island—Electrification, Smart Energy and the Required Flexible Market Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The integration of renewable energy (RE) in energy systems can be approached in many ways depending on local possibilities. Evaluating this in the limited context of islands, this paper presents a multi-energy system transition to a 100% RE share in a ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Study on the effect of geometry and material property on collapse pressure of a helical steam generator tube under external pressure

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
In this paper, a numerical study was conducted to analyze the effect of the geometry (tube thickness, ovality, and helical diameter) and material properties of once through steam generator tubes subjected to external pressure on collapse pressure.

Resilience enhancement of a multi-energy distribution system via joint network reconfiguration and mobile sources scheduling

open access: yes
This paper proposes a new resilience enhancement strategy for a multi-energy distribution system (MDS) through coordinated reconfiguration of the coupled-power-and-heat network, scheduling of mobile power sources (MPSs) as well as the dispatch of ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status
