Multi-field coupling laws of mixed gas in goaf

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2011
AbstractResidual coal in goaf easily causes spontaneous combustion, and provides a long-term existence fire source, then easily leads to secondary gas explosion. This paper has a systematic study on the laws of gas flow and heat transfer in goaf pre-and post residual coal spontaneous combustion by numerical simulation. Multi-field coupling changed laws

Dust concentration detection technology based on light scattering multi-source coupling

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2023
: The light scattering method is widely used in the field of dust detection, and the core of the technology is the detection error. In order to further reduce the detection error of dust concentration, a light scattering multi-source coupling dust ...

Physical and Mechanical Properties and Constitutive Model of Rock Mass Under THMC Coupling: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Research on the multi-field coupling effects in rocks has been ongoing for several decades, encompassing studies on single physical fields as well as two-field (TH, TM, HM) and three-field (THM) couplings.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A parallelized model for coupled phase field and crystal plasticity simulation [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Methods in Materials Science, 2016
The predictive simulation of materials with strong interaction between microstructural evolution and mechanical deformation requires the coupling of two or more multi-physics models.

Using an improved SPH algorithm to simulate thermo-hydro-mechanical-damage coupling problems in rock masses

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2023
The Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical-Damage (THMD) process inside rock structures is a complex multi-field coupling problem, which is also regarded as the hotspot worldwide.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.
