Role and Contribution of Serological Surveillance in Animals and Exposed Humans to the Study of Zoonotic Influenza Disease Epidemiology: A Scoping Review

open access: yesPathogens
Background: Zoonotic influenza viruses pose a significant and evolving public health threat. In response to the recent rise in H5N1 cross-species transmission, the World Health Organization (WHO) R&D Blueprint for Epidemics consultations have prioritized

Multi-user shortwave data link algorithm based on multi-domain orthogonal frequency selection [PDF]

open access: yesZhihui kongzhi yu fangzhen
A multi-user shortwave data link algorithm based on multi-domain orthogonal frequency selection is proposed to address the difficulties in frequency selection, low timeliness, susceptibility to interception and interference during the fixed frequency ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

MITIGATION OF SELF-INTERFERENCE IN BIDIRECTIONAL FULLDUPLEX MIMO LINK USING MULTI ANTENNA TRANSCEIVER [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2016
Communication between two multi antenna full duplex transceivers using bidirectional MIMO links faces a major problem of self-interference of signals. Suppression in spatial domain and cancellation in time domain are the two methods that can be adopted ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

On the importance of using appropriate link-to-system interfaces for the study of link adaptation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Link Adaptation is an adaptive radio link technique that selects a transport mode, from a set of predefined modes of varying robustness, depending on the channel quality conditions and dynamics.
