A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Towards Defect Phase Diagrams: From Research Data Management to Automated Workflows
A research data management infrastructure is presented for the systematic integration of heterogeneous experimental and simulation data required for defect phase diagrams. The approach combines openBIS with a companion application for large‐object storage, automated metadata extraction, provenance tracking and federated data access, thereby supporting ...

A multi-granularity feature fusion approach with attention for facial expression recognition
Facial expression recognition (FER) has been challenged by insufficient sensitivity to fine-grained local variations and limited feature representation capabilities in existing methods. To address these issues, we propose a novel FER method MGFA based on

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Feature Extraction of Gymnastics Images Based on Multi-scale Feature Fusion Algorithm
The feature extraction and analysis of gymnastics images is an essential foundation for estimating human posture. The primary step is to obtain various joint points of athletes based on basic information such as human texture and contour in the sports images.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Human Action Recognition Based on 3D Convolution and Multi-Attention Transformer
To address the limitations of traditional two-stream networks, such as inadequate spatiotemporal information fusion, limited feature diversity, and insufficient accuracy, we propose an improved two-stream network for human action recognition based on ...

This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...
