A Decomposition Formula for the Multi-Soliton Solutions to the \u27Good\u27 Boussinesq Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
In this thesis, we relate multi-soliton waves generated by the \u27good\u27 Boussinesq equation to the distribution functions in the classical linear Schrödinger equation.

Internal Wave Characteristics in the Andaman Sea: New Insights From SWOT Observations

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract High‐resolution, repeat‐pass Sea Surface Height Anomaly (SSHA) observations from the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite are used to investigate Internal Solitary Waves (ISW) in the Andaman Sea over a one‐year period starting in July 2023. SWOT captured surface signatures of high‐amplitude ISW, with SSHA exceeding 20 cm.

New multi-soliton solutions of Whitham-Broer-Kaup shallow-water-wave equations

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, new and more general Whitham-Broer-Kaup equations which can describe the propagation of shallow-water waves are exactly solved in the framework of Hirota?s bilinear method and new multi-soliton solutions are obtained.

Deep Learning Enabled Ultrafast Optical Spectral Phase Retrieval via Unbalanced‐Intensity Autocorrelation

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
Phase‐enabled nonlinear gating with unbalanced intensity (PENGUIN) enables reconstruction of the complete ultrafast optical field from one‐dimensional nonlinear interferometric autocorrelation traces. Combined with deep learning, the DeepPENGUIN framework enables real‐time spectral phase retrieval without spectrally resolved detection or iterative ...

Many body effects in one-dimensional attractive Bose gases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis we investigate the properties of ultra-cold quantum gases in reduced dimension and the effects of harmonic confinement on soliton-like properties.

Frequency conversion based on three-wave parametric solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Parametric three-wave mixing in quadratic nonlinear crystals provides a versatile means of achieving widely tunable frequency conversion of laser light, thus permitting a substantial extension of the wavelength coverage of laser sources across broad ...

Multi-soliton solutions for a (2+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient nonlinear Schrödinger equation

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2018
In this paper, a (2+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient nonlinear Schrodinger equation is investigated, which can describe an inhomogeneous Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain with the octupole–dipole interaction or alpha helical protein with higher ...

Solitons in low-dimensional sigma models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The aim of this thesis is to study topological soliton solutions in classical field theories, called sigma models, on a three-dimensional space. In chapter 1 we review the general field-theoretical framework of classical soliton solutions and exemplify ...

Dynamics of multi-soliton in the lower ionosphere of Venus within the framework of nonplanar geometry

open access: yesDiscover Space
Dynamics of multi-solitons are investigated in the lower ionosphere of Venus at an altitude ranging from 200 to 1000 km within the framework of nonplanar geometry. The plasma environment of the lower ionosphere of Venus is composed of mobile $$O^+$$ and $

Asymptotic Stability of Multi-soliton Solutions for Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations

open access: yesCommunications in Partial Differential Equations, 2004
We consider the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Schroedinger eqiation with initial data close to a sum of N decoupled solitons. Under some suitable assumptions on the spectral structure of the one soliton linearizations we prove that for large time the asymptotics of the solution is given by a sum of solitons with slightly modified parameters and a ...
