Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Language-Based Image Editing with Recurrent Attentive Models

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate the problem of Language-Based Image Editing (LBIE). Given a source image and a natural language description, we want to generate a target image by editing the source image based on the description.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Multi-Source Feature Fusion and Entropy Feature Lightweight Neural Network for Constrained Multi-State Heterogeneous Iris Recognition

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Current iris recognition technology faces practical difficulties. For example, due to the unsteady morphology of a heterogeneous iris generated by a variety of different devices and environments, the traditional processing methods of statistical learning

Infrared and visible image fusion algorithm based on spatial domain and image features.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
Multi-scale image decomposition is crucial for image fusion, extracting prominent feature textures from infrared and visible light images to obtain clear fused images with more textures.

Multi-View Kernels for Low-Dimensional Modeling of Seismic Events

open access: yes, 2017
The problem of learning from seismic recordings has been studied for years. There is a growing interest in developing automatic mechanisms for identifying the properties of a seismic event.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Fault Diagnosis of Industrial Robot Based on Multi-Source Data Fusion and Channel Attention Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access
Industrial robots are prone to failure due to harsh working environments, which affects movement accuracy. The fault diagnosis of industrial robots has become an indispensable part of robot collaborative maintenance in intelligent manufacturing.

Antimicrobial peptide identification using multi-scale convolutional network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Background: Antibiotic resistance has become an increasingly serious problem in the past decades. As an alternative choice, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have attracted lots of attention.
