Multi-valued and Fuzzy Logic Realization using TaOx Memristive Devices

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Among emerging non-volatile storage technologies, redox-based resistive switching Random Access Memory (ReRAM) is a prominent one. The realization of Boolean logic functionalities using ReRAM adds an extra edge to this technology. Recently, 7-state ReRAM

Autonomous Hydrogel Actuators Programmed by Endogenous Biochemical Logic for Dual‐Stage Morphing and Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed BSA–PEGDA bilayer actuator performs biochemical logic, bending autonomously in acid and releasing its drug payload only when both acid and pepsin are present. This dual‐stage, enzyme‐gated mechanism enables autonomous catch‐and‐release motion and controlled gastric drug delivery, representing a programmable soft material powered by ...

Plausible inference: A multi-valued logic for problem solving [PDF]

open access: yes
A new logic is developed which permits continuously variable strength of belief in the truth of assertions. Four inference rules result, with formal logic as a limiting case. Quantification of belief is defined. Propagation of belief to linked assertions

Engineering Bilayer Tandem Catalysts on Si‐Based Photocathodes for High‐performance CO2 Reduction to Produce Methane

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Cu/Ag‐Cu bilayer tandem catalyst is designed for a pyramid‐structured p‐Si photocathode, creating multiple and functionally distinct interfaces tailored to specific reaction steps and intermediate stabilization. This Cu/Ag‐Cu‐decorated p‐Si photocathode exhibits both high photocurrent and good selectivity for photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction to CH4.

Representation Synthesis by Probabilistic Many-Valued Logic Operation in Self-Supervised Learning

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing
In this paper, we propose a new self-supervised learning (SSL) method for representations that enable logic operations. Representation learning has been applied to various tasks like image generation and retrieval.

Neutrality and Multi-Valued Logics

open access: yes, 2007
In this book, we consider various many-valued logics: standard, linear, hyperbolic, parabolic, non-Archimedean, p-adic, interval, neutrosophic, etc. We survey also results which show the tree different proof-theoretic frameworks for many-valued logics, e.g.

Evolving more efficient digital circuits by allowing circuit layout evolution and multi-objective fitness [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We use evolutionary search to design combinational logic circuits. The technique is based on evolving the functionality and connectivity of a rectangular array of logic cells whose dimension is defined by the circuit layout.
