A note on paraconsistent entailment in machine learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Recent publications witness that there is a growing interest in multi-valued logics for machine learning; some of them arose as a more or less formal description of a computer program's inferential behaviour.

Alkali Ion‐Incorporated HfO2 Dielectrics for Reconfigurable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) transistor with an alkali cation‐integrated hafnium dioxide (HfO2) dielectric exhibiting synaptic behavior via ion retention. The solution‐based film fabrication strategy overcomes the limitations of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and precursor coating, enabling the control of synaptic retention ...

In Materia Shaping of Randomness with a Standard Complementary Metal‐Oxide‐Semiconductor Transistor for Task‐Adaptive Entropy Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes a materials‐driven framework for entropy generation within standard CMOS technology. By electrically rebalancing gate‐oxide traps and Si‐channel defects in foundry‐fabricated FDSOI transistors, the work realizes in‐materia control of temporal correlation – achieving task adaptive entropy optimization for reinforcement learning ...

Recomposable Layered Metasurfaces for Wavelength‐Multiplexed Optical Encryption via Modular Diffractive Deep Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Modular diffractive deep neural network metasurfaces encode and reconstruct holograms across layer combinations and wavelengths, enabling secure, multifunctional operation. Each layer acts independently yet composes jointly, yielding up to m(2N −1) channels for m wavelengths and N layers.

A Low Complexity Multi-Valued Logic Successor and Predecessor in Nanoelectronics

open access: yesMajlesi Journal of Electrical Engineering
Extremely efficient successor and predecessor circuits are suggested in this article using 4 CNTFETs. They have much fewer interconnections and complexity compared to the best previous circuits. The proposed circuits are designed by combining digital and

A topos perspective on the Kochen-Specker theorem: I. Quantum States as Generalized Valuations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The Kochen-Specker theorem asserts the impossibility of assigning values to quantum quantities in a way that preserves functional relations between them.

Near‐Infrared Light‐Programmable Negative Differential Transconductance in Organic Electrochemical Transistors for Reconfigurable Logic

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Organic electrochemical transistors based on a Near‐Infrared (NIR)‐responsive polymer p(C4DPP‐T) and iodide electrolyte exhibit optically programmable negative differential transconductance. NIR illumination triggers an iodine‐mediated redox process, enabling a transition from binary to ternary conductance states within a single‐layer device.

Reliably In‐Memory Ternary Stateful Logic Computing Based on Tri‐State Memristors with High On/Off Ratio

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
To surpass the slowdown of Moore's Law, multi‐valued logic (MVL) systems are explored to increase information processing density and enhance computational efficiency. Although conventional MVL systems offer substantial reductions in the number of devices

SYNTHESIS AND REDUCED LOGIC GATE REALIZATION OF MULTI-VALUED LOGIC FUNCTIONS USING NEURAL NETWORK DEPLOYMENT ALGORITHM [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2016
In this paper an evolutionary technique for synthesizing Multi-Valued Logic (MVL) functions using Neural Network Deployment Algorithm (NNDA) is presented. The algorithm is combined with back-propagation learning capability and neural MVL operators.

A High-Level Petri Net Framework for Genetic Regulatory Networks

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Bioinformatics, 2007
To understand the function of genetic regulatory networks in the development of cellular systems, we must not only realise the individual network entities, but also the manner by which they interact.
