Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Environmental and economic implications of energy efficiency in new residential buildings: A multi-criteria selection approach

open access: yesEnergy Strategy Reviews, 2019
The choice of the most appropriate technologies in buildings is often a challenge at the design stage, especially when many different criteria are taken into account. Consequently, the decision process relies often on one criterion only, such as costs or

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

The Multi Attribute Utility Theory (Death) Method In The Decision Of The Distributor Distributor Selection (Metode Multi Attribute Utility Theory (Maut) Dalam Keputusan Pemilihan Distributor Barang)

open access: yesJurnal KomtekInfo, 2020
Distributors are intermediaries who distribute products from factories to retailers. While the distributor of goods is the distributor of goods from factories to shops that need these goods. Incorrect selection of distributors can interfere with the sales process at the store.

Analysis of Multi-attribute Utility Theory for College Ranking Decision Making

open access: yesSinkrOn, 2020
Ranking of a tertiary institution, both state and private universities, can be the basis of the tertiary institutions of interest to prospective new students. The better the ranking of the college, the more popular the campus. In this study the author discusses the case of campus ranking in the city of Medan where the results to be received are the ...

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

A Prospective Study of Individuals at Risk of Multiple Sclerosis Informs the Design of Primary Prevention Studies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.
