Regulating Care: How Transparency, Ownership, Control, and Sanctions Shape Trust and Preferences

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Of the various attributes and regulatory tools related to nursing home service provision—such as ownership, transparency, oversight, and sanctions—which are seen as preferable and are most trusted? To address this question, we conducted a conjoint survey experiment on nursing home services with 1009 direct relatives of nursing home residents ...

Personalized Persuasion by Shaping Beliefs About the Multidimensional Features of Objects

open access: yesIEEE Access
Personalization consistently improves the impact of persuasive agents, recommender systems, and nudge interventions. However, most implementations still rely on coarse-grained demographic or personality attributes such as age, sex, or broad personality ...

Heterogeneous Fuzzy Group Decision‐Making Model With Mixed Criteria

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Organizational decisions, often originating from diverse groups of managers with varying criteria, encounter challenges due to the inherent ambiguity in human judgments, particularly those involving preferences. This paper proposes a nuanced solution using a heterogeneous fuzzy group decision‐making method, accommodating diverse criteria based on real ...

A Cross‐Entropy‐Driven MABAC Method Under Interval‐Valued q‐Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Sets

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Cross‐entropy is a useful tool for quantifying the divergence between systems. In this paper, we develop an interval‐valued q‐rung orthopair fuzzy cross‐entropy measure. Subsequently, the satisfaction‐based cross‐entropy (SCE) is derived from the compromise rule, integrating decision‐makers’ risk preferences to enhance rationality.

High‐Entropy Alloys: Founding Concepts and Pathways for Biomedical Future Development

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Studies on the use of high‐entropy alloys (HEAs) as biomedical implants have increased tremendously because of their superior mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. HEAs are contrasted to the traditional alloys, which are formed on one main element, and consist of more than one main element in approximately equal proportions ...

Improvement and Calibration of Driving Safety Field Model: Resolving Risk Characterization Mismatches

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The driving safety field (DSF) model, which comprehensively evaluates driving risks in complex environments by integrating human–vehicle–road factors, serves as a quantitative methodology for assessing dynamic traffic risks. However, it exhibits limitations in certain scenarios where its risk characterization deviates from actual risk variations.
