Long life fatigue under multiaxial loading

International Journal of Fatigue, 2001
A life prediction model in the field of high-cycle (i.e. long-life) fatigue is presented in this paper. The proposed model applies in the case of constant amplitude multiaxial proportional and non-proportional loading. The problems of the fatigue limit criterion and of the fatigue life prediction are both addressed and comparisons with experimental ...

Studies of Webbings Under Multiaxial Dynamic Loading

Textile Research Journal, 1998
The aim of the project is to study the bending fatigue properties of one kind of webbing under multiaxial dynamic loading in order to determine its maximum dura bility and longest useful lifetime. The study uses a dynamic fatiguing test machine, and the varying test parameters are camber radius and pulley diameter, the safety factor of the webbing ...

Multiaxial cyclic ratchetting under multiple step loading

International Journal of Plasticity, 1994
Abstract Strain ratchetting responses of 1070 steel are reported for multiple step cyclic loading histories. The stress amplitude and mean stress are varied between loading steps in multiple step loading. Experimental results reveal that the material exhibits a strong memory of the previous loading history, and such memory plays a discerning role on ...

A New Criterion for Evaluating Multiaxial Fatigue Damage under Multiaxial Random Loading Conditions

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
Generally, mechanical components or structures are subjected to random and a three-dimensional stress state; there are very few field loading paths which can be experimentally fully simulated in laboratory. Loading path parameters such as load sequence, stress level or proportionality/non-proportionality presences are unknown variables with unknown ...

Durability Analysis Under Complex Multiaxial Loading

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1987
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Components subjected to multichannel service load inputs require time-based loads both for testing and analysis. The paper discusses the techniques available for time-based history characterization and outlines a new Peak-Time history compression procedure.

Climate Chamber for Testing of Multiaxial Loading

2016
This paper examines the equipment for testing of materials under different climatic conditions with control of humidity environment. The described device allows testing samples for tension and pressure in uniaxial loading. For static testing, samples can be used in a separate climate chamber or in an external climate chamber with a possibility of ...

The relationships between multiaxial loading history and tibial strains during load carriage

Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, 2019
To determine if a history of exercise involving multiaxial loading, through soccer participation, influences tibial stains during incremented load carriage.Cross-sectional study.20 female soccer players (20±1 yr) and 20 mass- and height-matched healthy women (21±1 yr) participated in walking tasks with 0kg, 10kg, 20kg, and 30kg loads on a force ...

A fatigue criterion for general multiaxial loading

Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures, 2000
An incremental fatigue damage model is proposed. The model incorporates the critical plane concept in multiaxial fatigue, plastic strain energy and material memory in cyclic plasticity. With an incremental form the model does not require a cycle counting method for variable amplitude loading.

Damage evolution rule for multiaxial variable loading

1998
The damage accumulated within the material element is associated with the physical plane and predicted by the contact stress or strain rule. For singular stress or strains regimes a nonlocal failure or damage rule is used. The application to both monotonic and variable loading is provided.
