Multiband PIFA Vehicle Telematics Antennas
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2005Compact, low-cost antennas for multiband telematics applications on vehicles are described. The multifrequency band antennas are variations on the printed inverted-F antenna (PIFA) principle. One type of PIFA is a compact variation of a conventional antenna while the other is a novel planar version customized for different mounting positions such as ...

A Multiband Military Communication Antenna
31st AIAA International Communications Satellite Systems Conference, 2013The Canadian Forces have procured X-band and military Ka-band satellite capacity on the USA Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) system. Currently available terminals can operate in each of these bands with some of them providing a manually switchable front end to change the band of operation.

Multiband Sierpinski fractal antenna
2009 IEEE 13th International Multitopic Conference, 2009A fractal monopole antenna based on the Sierpinski gasket is studied in this paper. The monopole antenna based on the Sierpinski gasket constructed through three iterations displays a multiband behaviour with three bands that are log-periodically spaced by a factor of 2, the same scale factor that defines the geometrical self-similarity of the ...

Low SAR, Compact and Multiband Antenna
2013This paper proposes a new mobile handset antenna structure to reduce the value of the specific absorption rate (SAR) and to cover most of the mobile operating bands and other wireless applications. The covered bands are the GSM 900, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, UMTS 2100, and most of the LTE bands. Furthermore, it covers the ISM, WiMAX and the WLAN bands.

Compact planar multiband antenna
2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005In this paper a compact multiband planar antenna for GPS (1575.4 MHz), DCS (1800 MHz), 2.4 GHz (2400-2485 MHz) and 5.8 GHz (5725-5825 MHz) WLAN is presented. The proposed antenna of dimensions 38 mm times 3 mm times 1.6 mm with three wide 2:1 VSWR bands around 1.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz successfully covers the above bands with good radiation and ...

Hexagonal fractal multiband antenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2003The design of a new fractal multiband antenna, based on the hexagon, is presented. Three iterations of the hexagonal fractal multiband antenna, arranged in the dipole configuration, are examined. Experimental results are compared with those obtained using the method of moments and the fractal antenna is found to possess predictable multiband ...

Metamaterials Reconfigurable Multiband Antenna
Advanced Science, Engineering and Medicine, 2019In this paper a Metamaterials Reconfigurable Multiband Antenna is designed. The design consists of a rectangular patch antenna surrounded by an arrangement of cross shaped metamaterials cells that have two different behaviours and can be controlled electronically in order to switch between the two different behaviours; therefore, the antenna will have

Folded multiband strip antenna
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010AbstractA compact multiband antenna is proposed for mobile handheld devices. The antenna is composed of three‐folded monopoles and they are fed by only a single excitation. The simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna has achieved the exceptionally wide bandwidths from 1.69 to 2.50 GHz and 3 to 6 GHz in addition to GSM 850/900 ...

Multiband Antenna for Wireless Applications
2020A small multiband antenna with step geometry is proposed. The proposed fork like antenna structure with partial ground plane is designed on FR4 substrate having dimensions 20 × 30 mm2. The proposed antenna is designed such that it operates at three different bands. The multiband operations are obtained by adding split ring resonator on the back side of
