Multibeam Hybrid Transmitarray Based on Polarization Rotating Metasurface With Reconfigurable Bidirectional Radiation

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation
This article proposes a bidirectional multibeam hybrid transmitarray (HTA) using a transmission polarization-rotating metasurface (TPRM). A novel configuration is introduced to facilitate bidirectional beam-scanning by combining the transmitarray (TA ...

A Double-Fold 7×8 Butler Matrix-Fed Multibeam Antenna With a Boresight Beam for 5G Applications

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2022
A substrate integrated waveguide multibeam antenna fed by a double-fold 7×8 Butler matrix (BM) beam-forming network (BFN) is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of a 7×8 BM feeding network and an 8×8 slot array.

IMPos: Indoor Mobile Positioning With 5G Multibeam Signals From a Single Base Station

IEEE Internet of Things Journal
With the widespread deployment of the fifth-generation (5G) network indoors, commercial 5G signals are highly attractive in the field of indoor positioning because of their ubiquity.

A Compact Multibeam Folded Transmitarray Antenna at Ku-Band

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2021
Multibeam antennas have found more and more applications in current and future communication systems. In this letter, a low-profile multibeam fully planar folded transmitarray antenna (FTA) based on the bifocal principle is proposed.

Multibeam coupling in photorefractive SBN:Ce

Optics Letters, 1988
Theoretical and experimental results are presented for simultaneous multibeam coupling in photorefractive SBN:Ce. Within a single crystal, multiple signals are amplified through a coupling process that employs a single pump. The coupling gain of each signal results from coupling both between the pump and the signal and between different signals.

Indoor Positioning With Multibeam CSI From a Single 5G Base Station

IEEE Sensors Letters
Fifth-generation (5G) networks have been deployed to serve a massive number of users. The new properties of 5G, such as large bandwidth, high data rates, and extensive coverage, provide promising possibilities for positioning and navigation.

Scheduling in Multibeam Satellites with Interfering Zones

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1983
In this paper we study the traffic scheduling problem in an SS/TDMA system with interfering beams. We investigate a twostep approach, the first step being the assignment of orthogonal polarization to reduce the interference, and the second step being the scheduling of traffic, taking into account the "resultant" interference. The first step we show can

2-D Orthogonal Multibeam Antenna Arrays for 5G Millimeter-Wave Applications

IEEE transactions on microwave theory and techniques, 2022
In this article, a 2-D $16 \times 16$ Butler matrix-based passive multibeam antenna array (MBAA) and a 2-D active–passive hybrid MBAA (APHMBAA) are both presented for fifth-generation (5G) millimeter-wave (mmWave) applications, which demonstrate that a 2-
