A Spatial Classification Model for Multicriteria Analysis

2007 IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence in Multi-Criteria Decision-Making, 2007
This paper stresses that standard multicriteria aggregation procedures either do not assume any structure in data or this structure is in fact assumed linear. Nevertheless, many decision making problems are based upon a family of data with a well denned spatial structure, which is simply not taken into account. Hence, such aggregation procedures may be

Multicriteria analysis of e-learning courses

International Journal of Data Analysis Techniques and Strategies, 2015
In this paper, the multi-criteria decision analysis MCDA method weighted sum model WSM is applied in order to evaluate online courses uploaded in the learning management system LMS of the Department of Accountancy of Kavala's Institute of Technology. The linear discriminant analysis LDA and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test are also applied to analyse the ...

Multicriteria analysis: survey and new directions

European Journal of Operational Research, 1981
Abstract Before the advent of multicriteria analysis, decision problems often took the form of the optimization of an objective function or a utility function. This approach has the advantage of resulting in well-defined mathematical problems but is not always representative of reality: in fact the comparison of several possible decisions is rarely ...

A multicriteria analysis decision support system

Proceedings of the 5th international conference on Computer systems and technologies - CompSysTech '04, 2004
The paper presents a multicriteria analysis decision support system called MultiChoice, designed to support decision makers in solving different multicriteria analysis problems. Various well-known methods and software systems are discussed. The basic features of the solving modules, the interface modules and the system modules are described.

The pandora of network slicing: A multicriteria analysis

Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2019
AbstractThe evolving requirements of 5G communication business cases around vertical markets in addition to rich content multimedia cloud applications call for advances in enabling technologies and standardization to realize tailor‐made end‐to‐end network services, an approach commonly referred to as network slicing.

Ethics of multicriteria analysis

International Journal of Sustainable Development, 2000
Multicriteria analysis needs a normative basis. Utilitarianism could be such a normative basis, but it cannot meet the normative demands in the contexts of sustainable development. Another ethical approach, discursive ethics, can be applied to social dilemmas, but it cannot integrate all arguments relevant to environmental ethics.
