Evaluation of Hydroxychloroquine Retinopathy With Multifocal Electroretinography

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2003
* BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To describe the changes revealed by multifocal electroretinography (ERG) in patients taking hydroxychloroquine. * PATIENTS AND METHODS: Six patients being treated for various inflammatory conditions with hydroxychloroquine for periods ranging from 8 months to 7 years were consecutively evaluated.

Sensitivity of multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) in detecting siderosis

Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2015
To evaluate use of multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) in diagnosing retinal toxicity from siderosis with normal ERG.Prospective case series.Six patients with retained intraocular foreign body were recruited. The affected eye of the patients had no clinical evidence of siderosis, had similar full-field photopic 3.0 ERG compared with the fellow eye ...

MULTIFOCAL ELECTRORETINOGRAPHY IN MULTIFOCAL CHOROIDITIS AND THE MULTIPLE EVANESCENT WHITE DOT SYNDROME

Retina, 2001
To study and compare the findings on multifocal electroretinography (MERG) between multifocal choroiditis (MFC) and the multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS).Patients were recruited prospectively from the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Multifocal electroretinography in patients with macular telangiectasia type 2

Documenta Ophthalmologica, 2020
To evaluate the multifocal electroretinographic (mfERG) response in patients with macular telangiectasia (MacTel) type 2.Prospective, observational case series. Thirty-four eyes of 18 patients diagnosed with nonproliferative MacTel type 2 underwent recording of best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), fundus fluorescein angiography, spectral domain optical

Is multifocal electroretinography an early predictor of glaucoma?

Documenta Ophthalmologica, 2016
To investigate the potential use of mfERG as an objective functional test that can express inner and outer retinal changes during the early stages of glaucoma. One hundred and twenty-six eyes of 126 patients were included. There were 30 healthy (Group 1), 28 glaucoma suspect (Group 2), 48 early glaucoma (Group 3), and 20 advanced glaucoma cases (Group 4)

[Multifocal Electroretinography in Patients with Poppers Maculopathy].

Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 2019
Maculopathy is a potential side effect of amyl nitrite or "poppers" abuse. It is characterized by a sudden, painless decrease in visual acuity. While the funduscopic changes are subtle, optical coherence tomography shows alterations of the outer retinal layers in the fovea.
