Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Bioactive Multilayer Polylactide Films with Controlled Release Capacity of Gallic Acid Accomplished by Incorporating Electrospun Nanostructured Coatings and Interlayers

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The present research reports on the development of bi- and multilayer polylactide (PLA) films by the incorporation of electrospun nanostructured PLA coatings and interlayers containing the antioxidant gallic acid (GA) at 40 wt% onto cast-extruded PLA ...

Ambient‐Stable Transparent P‐Type CuI Transistors Via Room‐Temperature Pulsed Laser Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An in situ PLD fabricated AlOx${\rm AlO}_x$/CuI/AlOx${\rm AlO}_x$ sandwich structure enables stable CuI TFTs with a field‐effect mobility of 2.3 ±$\pm$ 0.7 cm2${\rm cm}^{2}$ V−1${\rm V}^{-1}$ s−1${\rm s}^{-1}$ and excellent ambient stability. Complementary inverters based on CuI:Rb and ZnO:Al exhibit rail‐to‐rail voltage transfer characteristics and an

Design Method for Stress Reduction of Multilayer Thin Films

open access: yes
Residual stress in optical thin films severely degrades optoelectronic device performance. Traditional designs, relying on extensive experiments, limit precise stress regulation. This study proposes a Stoney’s formula-based stress design method for

Indium tin oxide overlayered waveguides for sensor applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The use of indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films as electrodes for integrated optical electrochemical sensor devices is discussed. The effect of various thicknesses of ITO overlayers exhibiting low resistivity and high transparency on potassium ion-exchanged

Preparation and Performance of Multilayer Si-B-C-N/Diamond-like Carbon Gradient Films

open access: yes, 2023
Si-B-C-N/diamond-like carbon (DLC) gradient films with different layers were prepared on a glass substrate by radio frequency magnetron sputtering, and the structure and surface morphology of the resulting films were analyzed by scanning electron ...
