An Artificial Antibody‐Based Toolbox Accelerates Validation of Hidden Microproteins Encoded by the Dark Genome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microproteins are hidden treasures encoded by the “dark proteome” but remain largely underexplored due to the lack of highly efficient tools. We developed a molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs)‐based toolbox (CLAIMID) to achieve accelerated and ultrasensitive microproteins validation at multiple biological scales (single living cells, cell populations,

Estimating and explaining efficiency in a multilevel setting: A robust two-stage approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Various applications require multilevel settings (e.g., for estimating fixed and random effects). However, due to the curse of dimensionality, the literature on non-parametric efficiency analysis did not yet explore the estimation of performance drivers ...

Artificial Neuron Based on Electrical Anisotropy from WSe2 Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An artificial neuron was realized based on the anisotropic mobility of WSe2. Dendritic and axon‐multisynaptic performance of a neuron was achieved with optical and voltage pulses. Recognition accuracy of handwritten digits was obtained to 97% based on the synaptic weight of an artificial neuron.

Marker effects and examination reliability: a comparative exploration from the perspectives of generalizability theory, Rasch modelling and multilevel modelling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This study looked at how three different analysis methods could help us to understand rater effects on exam reliability. The techniques we looked at were: generalizability theory (G-theory) item response theory (IRT): in particular the Many-Facets ...

Cohort‐Scale Spatial Autocorrelation for Tumor Prediction in Mid‐Infrared Pathology and Spatial Biomarker Discovery Using MALDI Imaging Lipidomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Computational annotation of various tissue types in heterogeneous samples such as colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) using spatial autocorrelation analysis on non‐destructive mid‐infrared (MIR) imaging data enabled correlative multimodal mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) for spatial investigation of lipid tumor marker candidates. The method can be

Giant Switchable Remanent Polarization and Photocurrent in Ferroelectric Thin Film Photomemristor for In Situ Training

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The device exhibits excellent ferroelectric performance and significant photoelectric response. It can adapt to light stimuli of varying power and wavelengths while achieving a stable and tunable photovoltaic response state. Moreover, the device can utilize photoconductive states of different directions and magnitudes to achieve pattern classification ...
