Distributed Control for a Modular Multilevel Converter [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2018
Conventional centralized control strategies may reduce the flexibility and expandability of a modular multilevel converter (MMC) system. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a distributed control architecture that is capable of assigning certain control tasks to distributed local controllers and improves the modularity of an MMC system.

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

Cyber-Attacks in Modular Multilevel Converters

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2022
Distributed control of modular multilevel converter (MMC) submodules offers several potential benefits such as flexibility and modularity. In this approach, low-level control tasks, such as capacitor voltage balancing, can be distributed amongst controllers placed in the SMs.

Dual‐Inductive and Programmable Switching: A New Paradigm in Ionic Interface‐Controlled Perovskite Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fully programmable, dual‐inductive switchable halide perovskite memristor is demonstrated through precise BDAI2‐mediated interface engineering. This ion‐modulating layer suppresses stochastic filamentary growth, enabling stable, non‐filamentary switching via dynamic barrier modulation.
