A Lightweight CNN Based on Axial Depthwise Convolution and Hybrid Attention for Remote Sensing Image Dehazing

open access: yes
Hazy weather reduces contrast, narrows the dynamic range, and blurs the details of the remote sensing image. Additionally, color fidelity deteriorates, causing color shifts and image distortion, thereby impairing the utility of remote sensing data.

Field‐Driven Active Colloids as Distributed Micromachines: Bridging Physics, Control, and Function Across Length Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Field‐driven active colloids are framed as distributed micromachines in which externally supplied power, sensing, and control regulate task‐relevant states. By closing the loop between particle behavior, imaging, computation, and electric or magnetic actuation, these systems can progress from programmable motion toward adaptive functional outcomes ...

Targeted Mechanogenetics to Modulate Specific Deep Neural Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces mechanogenetics, a nanobubble‐enhanced sonogenetic strategy for selective modulation of feeding‐related neural circuits in the mouse lateral hypothalamus. Mechanogenetic stimulation modulates feeding behavior through glutamatergic projections from the lateral hypothalamus to the ventral tegmental area, highlighting its potential ...

Return‐To‐Work and Working Status After Surgery for Gastric and Esophageal Cancer: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
In this multicenter prospective study of 158 working‐age patients undergoing curative‐intent surgery for gastric or esophageal cancer, 78.5% were working at 18 months. Postoperative appetite loss, financial difficulties, and ≥ 10% weight loss at 6 months were associated with non‐working status.
