Spectral power stabilization against temperature variations in multimode fiber Bragg gratings
Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) have been extensively used for single-point and multi-point measurements, mostly inscribed in single-mode fibers.

This work demonstrates a multimodal super‐resolution imaging technique for nitrogen‐vacancy centers by integrating high‐index‐induced structured illumination with optically detected magnetic resonance. By utilizing diamond's high refractive index, the method achieves sub‐100‐nm spatial resolution and enhanced localization. This dual‐modulation strategy

Surface Plasmon Enhanced Photoluminescence of Carbon Dots Formed In Situ on Silver Gratings
Carbon emitters formed in situ on a silver grating via plasmonic catalysis yield enhanced spontaneous emission by preferential radiative decay into surface plasmons. Enhancement manifests as emission exhibiting characteristics of coherence (polarization, directionality), and accelerated lifetimes of ∼30 ps, yielding Purcell factors of ∼70.

The use of air stable but thermally labile molecules provides an efficient strategy for the N‐type doping of organic semiconductors with relatively low electron affinities. Design criteria for efficient dopants should also take into account diffusion and phase segregation that cannot be decoupled from thermally activated doping.

Theory of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Fibers for Highly Multimode Excitations
Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) is often an unwanted loss mechanism in both active and passive fibers. Highly multimode excitation of fibers has been proposed as a novel route toward efficient SBS suppression.

Multimode waveguides of Photodefinable epoxy for optical backplane applications [PDF]
We developed photodefined, multimode-fiber compatible waveguides based on epoxies. These waveguides will be embedded in backplane PCB’s for optical interconnect applications using 850 nm VCSELs as light sources.
