On the Joint Distribution of Energy Levels of Random Schroedinger Operators
We consider operators with random potentials on graphs, such as the lattice version of the random Schroedinger operator. The main result is a general bound on the probabilities of simultaneous occurrence of eigenvalues in specified distinct intervals ...

Uniform determinantal representations [PDF]
The problem of expressing a specific polynomial as the determinant of a square matrix of affine-linear forms arises from algebraic geometry, optimisation, complexity theory, and scientific computing. Motivated by recent developments in this last area, we

ABSTRACT Reactive power compensation is now a challenging issue in maintaining adequate power quality and improving the performance of the transmission system. Many researchers have focused on the behavior of voltage in the unbalanced state, and the majority of the studies have been done with STATCOM. In this study, the increasing power demand in power

Dissolving cusp forms: Higher order Fermi's Golden Rules
For a hyperbolic surface embedded eigenvalues of the Laplace operator are unstable and tend to become resonances. A sufficient dissolving condition was identified by Phillips-Sarnak and is elegantly expressed in Fermi's Golden Rule. We prove formulas for

Simple eigenvalues and bifurcation for a multiparameter problem [PDF]
We are concerned with the problem of bifurcation of solutions of a non-linear multiparameter problem at a simple eigenvalue of the linearised problem.Let X and Y be real Banach spaces, and let A, Bi, i = 1, …, n∈B(X, Y). Let : Rn × X → Y be a non-linear mapping. We consider the equationwhereand λ=(λ1, λ2,…,λn) ∈ Rn is an n-tuple of spectral parameters.

The contents of 12 PTEs in the surface water of the dam lake were compared. Ecological risk indices and GIS‐based maps were used to assess stochastic health risks of PTEs. Factor/cluster and correlation analyses were conducted for source identification of PTEs.

A Multiparameter Singular Perturbation Analysis of the Robertson Model
ABSTRACT The Robertson model describing a chemical reaction involving three reactants is one of the classical examples of stiffness in ODEs. The stiffness is caused by the occurrence of three reaction rates k1,k2,${k}_{1},{k}_{2},$ and k3,${k}_{3},$ with largely differing orders of magnitude, acting as parameters.

On the structure of commutative matrices. II [PDF]
A finite set A of N × N nilpotent commutative matrices that have one-dimensional joint kernel is considered. The theorem (due to Suprunenko and Tyshkevich) that the algebra A generated by A and the identity matrix has dimension equal to N is proved.

We investigate the nonlinear dynamics of a discrete‐time predator–prey model governed by a Holling Type‐II functional response. Starting from a biologically motivated continuous‐time system, we derive its discrete analogue via the explicit Euler method and employ nondimensionalization to reduce the number of parameters.
