Computer Networks, 2011It is essential for the Future Internet to fully support multihoming and select most appropriate paths for Concurrent Multipath Transfer (CMT). In real complex networks, different paths are likely to overlap each other and even share bottlenecks which can weaken the path diversity gained through CMT.

2017 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2017Concurrent multipath transfer (CMT) can achieve bandwidth aggregation by employing multiple TCP subflows in a connection. However, constrained by the transport layer protocols such as Multipath TCP, the throughput cannot increase linearly with bandwidth, which means bandwidth resources cannot be fully utilized.
