An In-Depth UAS-PPK Georeferencing Analysis at Different Flight Heights for an Urban Area

open access: yesIEEE Access
Acquiring UAS images in urban environments presents a significant importance for various applications but presents challenges, particularly with flight missions and the reliability of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal.

Analysis of Multipath Code-Range Errors in Future LEO-PNT Systems

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
In recent years, low-Earth-orbit (LEO) constellations have been proposed for Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) applications. Moreover, a couple of test satellites have already been launched and many more are scheduled in the near future.

Investigation of Water and Mud Effects on the Propagation of Real 5G Signal by Using the Reverberation Chamber

open access: yesIEEE Access
We investigated the propagation condition in a particular environment, such as an area covered by water or mud. In particular, we analyzed the effect on signal propagation in a fifth-generation (5G) wireless communication system in that scenario.

Multilevel MDA-Lite Paris Traceroute

open access: yes, 2018
Since its introduction in 2006-2007, Paris Traceroute and its Multipath Detection Algorithm (MDA) have been used to conduct well over a billion IP level multipath route traces from platforms such as M-Lab.

A new multipath mitigation method for GNSS receivers based on antenna array [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
the potential of small antenna array for multipath mitigation in GNSS systems is considered in this paper. To discriminate the different incoming signals (Line of sight and multipaths), a new implementation of the well known SAGE algorithm is proposed ...

Toward a Fully-Observable Markov Decision Process With Generative Models for Integrated 6G-Non-Terrestrial Networks

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2023
The upcoming sixth generation (6G) mobile networks require integration between terrestrial mobile networks and non-terrestrial networks (NTN) such as satellites and high altitude platforms (HAPs) to ensure wide and ubiquitous coverage, high connection ...

Metasurface‐Enabled Active‐Like Passive Radar

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable space‐time‐coding metasurface embeds distinct spatiotemporal tags into ambient wireless signals, allowing passive radar to operate in an active‐like manner. By enabling code‐correlated reconstruction under interference, the approach supports robust real‐time UAV tracking in complex environments and points to intelligent, low‐power ...

Online multipath convolutional coding for real-time transmission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Most of multipath multimedia streaming proposals use Forward Error Correction (FEC) approach to protect from packet losses. However, FEC does not sustain well burst of losses even when packets from a given FEC block are spread over multiple paths.

Performance evaluation of multipath transport protocol in heterogeneous network environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Performance of multipath transport protocols is known to be sensitive to path asymmetry. The difference between each path in terms of bandwidth, delay and packet loss has a potential to significantly decrease the overall performance of a data flow ...

Multipath channels of unbounded capacity [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE 25th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2008
The capacity of discrete-time, non-coherent, multipath fading channels is considered. It is shown that if the delay spread is large in the sense that the variances of the path gains do not decay faster than geometrically, then capacity is bounded in the signal-to-noise ratio.
