Power spectra of multipath faded pulse trains
We address the problem of modeling received pulse trains in a multipath fading channel and of computing their exact spectrum. We propose a model based on point processes. Such model is very general, simple and tractable and it allows to account for various phenomena that affect the transmission.

Gamma-shadowed two-ray with diffuse power composite fading model
In this paper, a novel gamma-shadowed two-ray with diffuse power (GS-TWDP) composite fading model is proposed by assuming that the shadowing-caused mean power variations of the received signal, affected by TWDP multipath fading, are gamma distributed ...

Adaptive exploitation of multipath fading for mobile sensors
Mobile wireless sensors in indoor environments will experience multipath fading, causing rapid variations in the capacity of the radio link. We present a strategy that increases the throughput by modifying the trajectory of the sensor so it spends more time at positions where the capacity is high. While doing so, it still maintains some desired average

Analysis of Three-Dimensional Spatial Selectivity for Rician Channel [PDF]
The spatial selectivity of multipath fading determines the spatial diversity strategy to increase the performance of the communication system. This paper analyses the three-dimensional (3-D) spatial selectivity of Rician channel to strive to alleviate ...

Universal Kriging Prediction of Line-of-Sight Microwave Fading
Prediction of the severity of multipath fading is fundamental to the design of point-to-point terrestrial fixed microwave links at frequencies below 10 GHz, but error in this prediction may be significant in countries such as Australia, not represented ...

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF FILTER BANK MULTI-CARRIER MODULATION IN MULTIPATH FADING CHANNELS
Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC) modulation is one of the most significant enablers for future 5G technologies. It is a modulation technique for resolving inter-carrier and inter-symbol interference using two possible methods: Frequency Spreading (FS ...

Ultrafast Optoacoustics Reveals Intricate 3D Anisotropic Elasticity in Nanocrystalline Membranes
Ultrafast optoacoustic spectroscopy combined with a Sagnac interferometer enables non‐contact, simultaneous characterization of thickness and the full three‐dimensional anisotropic elastic constants in freestanding nanocrystalline copper membranes. By capturing gigahertz Lamb waves and zero‐group‐velocity resonances followed by SAFE‐GA inversion, the ...
