Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Channel Estimation in Uplink SCMA System

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2016
The effect of channel estimation error on bit error probability of uncoded and coded sparse code multiple access (SCMA) system in uplink channel with block fading is considered.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Performance improvement of non-orthogonal multiple access scheme using code division multiplexing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2017
Currently, the standardization of fifth-generation mobile communication system (5G), which realizes 10 Gbps transmission, is in progress. In mobile communications, it is generally difficult to perform high-capacity transmission because of channel fading.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Optimized RSMA and NOMA Transmission in MIMO Downlinks With Quantized Channel Direction Information

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
Channel state information is essential for optimizing transmit precoding in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) downlinks. This work assumes that only quantized channel direction information (CDI), representing the normalized channel vector, is ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Classical -Quantum Multiple Access Channel with Secrecy Constraint: One-shot Rate Region

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2020
In this paper, we aim to study a -user quantum multiple access wiretap channel with an arbitrary number of wiretappers under one-shot setting. In this regard, we first introduce the general quantum multiple access wiretap channel and the simplified ...

Stability and Delay of NDMA-MPR Protocol in Rice-Correlated Channels with Co-Channel Interference

open access: yesTechnologies, 2019
This paper investigates backlog retransmission strategies for a class of random access protocols with retransmission diversity (i.e., network diversity multiple access or NDMA) combined with multiple-antenna-based multi-packet reception (MPR). This paper
