The multi-attribute group decision making method based on the interval grey linguistic variables weighted harmonic aggregation operators

open access: yesTechnological and Economic Development of Economy, 2013
With respect to the characteristics of fuzziness, complexity and uncertainty for many group-decision making problems in real world, the paper proposes a novel method based on the interval grey linguistic variables hybrid weighted harmonic aggregation ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Multi-agent utility theory for ethical conflict resolution

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2002
In this paper we try to construct a two-attribute group disutility function for two conflicting decision makers, taking into account the property of utility independence and/or convex dependence between them.

Modelling and optimizing multiple attribute decisions by using fuzzy sets [PDF]

open access: yes
The purpose of this paper is to present a coherent perspective of modeling and optimizing multiple attribute decisions by using fuzzy sets. In management practice we face most of the time the situation in which a problem have several possible solutions ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Dynamic Multi-Attribute Group Decision Making Model Based on Generalized Interval-Valued Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2015
In this paper we investigate the dynamic multi-attribute group decision making problems, in which all the attribute values are provided by multiple decision makers at different periods. In order to increase the level of overall satisfaction for the final

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
