A state-of-art review on supplier selection problem [PDF]

open access: yesDecision Science Letters, 2013
Many supplier selection problems are involved with various criteria such as quality of supplier, price, delivery time, etc. This paper presents a survey on the implementation of using different multi criteria decision making (MCDM) methods for supplier ...

Are MCDM methods useful? A critical review of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP)

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2019
Although Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods have been applied in numerous case studies, many companies still avoid employing these methods in making their decisions and prefer to decide intuitively. There are studies claiming that MCDM methods

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis Using Correlation-Based Precedence Indices Within Pythagorean Fuzzy Uncertain Environments

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2018
The theory of Pythagorean fuzzy sets possesses significant advantages in handling vagueness and complex uncertainty. Additionally, Pythagorean fuzzy information is useful to simulate the ambiguous nature of subjective judgments and measure the fuzziness ...

About the Multi Criteria Ranging Problem in the Fuzzy Environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Decision making and technical decision analysis demand computer-aided techniques and therefore more and more support by formal techniques. In recent years fuzzy decision analysis and related techniques gained importance as an efficient method for ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Decision making in cloud environments: an approach based on multiple-criteria decision analysis and stochastic models

open access: yesJournal of Cloud Computing: Advances, Systems and Applications, 2018
Cloud computing is a paradigm that provides services through the Internet. The paradigm has been influenced by previously available technologies (for example cluster, peer-to-peer, and grid computing) and has now been adopted by almost all large ...
