Flight-determined stability analysis of multiple-input-multiple-output control systems [PDF]

open access: yes
Singular value analysis can give conservative stability margin results. Applying structure to the uncertainty can reduce this conservatism. This paper presents flight-determined stability margins for the X-29A lateral-directional, multiloop control ...

Distortion Exponent in MIMO Fading Channels with Time-Varying Source Side Information

open access: yes, 2015
Transmission of a Gaussian source over a time-varying multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel is studied under strict delay constraints. Availability of a correlated side information at the receiver is assumed, whose quality, i.e., correlation with

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Multiple-input multiple-output energy processing for energy-harvesting applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This project belongs to energy harvesting field, which is a method of collecting energy from the environment to power small devices. This type of energy use is growing exponentially due to the appearance of many of these devices (sensors, wearables...).

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Highly Isolated Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Antenna System for Ingestible Implants

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Microwaves
In this paper, a dual-antenna multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is designed for deep-tissue indigestible capsules. The system operates at 915 MHz and 2450 MHz frequency bands, covering the desired ISM band.

Radio Vortex–Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Communication Systems With High Capacity

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2015
As a potential technique to improve channel capacity, orbital angular momentum has been developed in the radio field. In this paper, a novel radio vortex-multiple-input multiple-output (RV-MIMO) system is proposed to provide high capacity in free space ...

The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...

Multiple-input multiple-output over-the-horizon radar: experimental results

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2009
Results from an experiment that applied one class of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) waveform techniques to over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) are reported. The experiment objective was to demonstrate that adaptive transmitter beamforming could be used in an appropriately design radar to reject spatially discrete Doppler-spread clutter.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
