Modeling of multiple access interference and BER derivation for TH and DS UWB multiple access systems

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2006
A novel analytical method is introduced for exact statistical modeling of multiple access interference (MAI), in time hopping pulse position modulation and pulse amplitude modulation (TH-PPM and TH-PAM) ultra wideband (UWB) systems operating in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels.

Cancelling known interference in multiple access channels

2008 IEEE 25th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2008
We study two generalizations of the writing on dirty paper problem. The first scenario is the cross interference multiple access channel, where each user knows the interference that accompanies the transmission of the other user. In the second scenario we consider a two-user multiple access chancel with a common interference known to both transmitters.

Multiple-Access Interference

2011
Dramatic growth rates in capacity demands in wireless and other broadband systems have resulted in a rise in the use of communication networks in which multiple users share common communication resources. A significant consequence of this trend is the increasing presence of multiple-access interference (MAI), which arises in communication systems ...

An interference analysis for packet reservation multiple access

Seamless Interconnection for Universal Services. Global Telecommunications Conference. GLOBECOM'99. (Cat. No.99CH37042), 2003
This paper presents a cochannel interference analysis for the packet reservation multiple access (PRMA) protocol, based on a Markov modeling of the interference generation process. PRMA is one of the first packet switching protocols proposed for wireless personal communications and its performance in cellular environments has been studied with ...

On random multiple access with unknown interference probabilities

1986 25th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1986
We consider the time slotted, packet switched, broadcast type random multiple access channel with infinite number of stations. Due to interference, some successful transmissions are erased, and some empty slots are erroneously interpreted as collisions.

Analysis of multiple-access interference for CDMA signals

2017 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2017
Methods of modern GNNS organization, their frequency bandwidth and signals generation were described. Nowadays bandwidth for every field of concern is strongly limited. Popularity of radionavigation leads to overlapping spectrum. Modern GNSS are using signals with CDMA to minimize interference.

Multiple access interference as spatially colored noise

Proceedings IEEE 56th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2003
A model is introduced for WCDMA systems using antenna arrays that extends the white noise description of uniformly distributed interferers to a colored noise description of clustered interferers. A derivation of the model in a spatiotemporally correlated channel is presented.

Multiple Sequence Multicarrier CDMA for Interference-free Multiple Access

2006 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium, 2006
This paper shows a general structure for multicarrier (MC) CDMA that avoids multiuser interference even over fading channels. The technique converts a multi-access interference (MAI) channel into an inter symbol interference (ISI) channel for every user.

Suppression of Multiple Access Interference (MAI) in Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA)

2007 IFIP International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks, 2007
Recent advances in communications are driven by the requirements of next-generation wireless systems to provide high-data-rate and high quality services anywhere at anytime. However, the spectrum continues to be scarce and expensive, which creates new challenges in the developments of telecommunications systems.

Performance analysis of the hybrid interference canceller for multiple access interference cancellation

Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. TENCON 99. 'Multimedia Technology for Asia-Pacific Information Infrastructure' (Cat. No.99CH37030), 2003
In this paper we introduced a hybrid interference cancellation scheme combining parallel interference cancellation (PIC) and successive interference cancellation (SIC). The proposed hybrid interference cancellation has been compared with existing PIC, SIC and other hybrid cancellation schemes. The performance criteria used for comparison are complexity,
