Interference multiple access communications
SPIE Proceedings, 2007The implementation of network centric warfare on the battlefield has driven the growing demand for high capacity warfighter communication systems. Although new high capacity SATCOM systems such as WGS are being introduced in the near term, these systems use the interference avoidance paradigm, which fundamentally limits overall network performance ...

On the Capacity of Gaussian Multiple-Access Interference Channels
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2019We study the multiple-access interference channel (MAIC) where two two-user multiple-access channels (MAC) operate over a shared medium, thus mutually interfering. We first characterize an achievable region for the discrete memoryless MAIC based on the Han-Kobayashi scheme.

Multiple Access Interference Suppression for TWSTFT Applications
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2017Multiple access interference (MAI) is one of the unstable sources of the two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT), and causes an estimation error of the signal arrival time. To suppress MAI, the successive interference cancellation (SIC) procedure is implemented on the software-defined receiver.

Performance Analysis of Multiple-Access Channel in the Presence of Multiple Interferers
2011 IEEE 73rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2011In this paper, we consider a Rayleigh fading multiple-access interference channel where a group of users communicate with a receiver in the presence of multiple Gaussian interferers. We derive the closed-form analytical expressions for the ergodic sum-capacity in case of uncorrelated multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel and spatially ...

New opportunistic interference alignment in MIMO interference multiple access channels
2016 8th International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2016In this paper, we investigate the K-cell multiple input multiple output (MIMO) interference multiple-access channel (IMAC) where opportunistic user scheduling and interference alignment (IA) are combined. For traditional opportunistic IA (OIA) scheme, without consideration on enhancing the effectiveness of the desired signal, each user calculates its ...

The feasibility condition for interference alignment (IA) with no channel extension has not been known yet. In this paper, for the first time, we explore the feasibility of interference alignment and cancellation (IAC) which has been proposed for IA with no channel extension. We investigate IAC for the Gaussian interference multiple access channel (MAC)

Tandem Spreading Multiple Access with Successive Interference Cancellation
2019 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC), 2019Grant-free non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is adopted to serve massive machine-type devices in massive machine-type communications (mMTC). One major challenge of the grant-free NOMA for mMTC is the collision induced by nonorthogonal resource allocation.

Resource Allocation Strategy in Multiple Access Interference Channel
2014 IEEE 80th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2014-Fall), 2014Duality relations among achievable QoS parameters help us transform the problems in the broadcast channel to convex problems in multiple access channels. But a multiple access channel being considered as dual of a broadcast channel must exploit the additional freedom of power allocation traditionally considered only in a broadcast channel.

Strong interference conditions for Multiple Access-Cognitive Interference Channel
2011 12th Canadian Workshop on Information Theory, 2011In this paper, we analyze the capacity region of a communication network where a Multiple Access Channel (MAC) and a point-to-point channel share a same medium and interfere with each other, where the transmitter of the point-to-point channel has cognitive capabilities.

On bounds for the cognitive multiple access Z-Interference Channel
2015 IEEE 14th Canadian Workshop on Information Theory (CWIT), 2015The Cognitive Multiple Access Z-Interference Channel consists of a MAC channel that receives interference from an external transmitter. In a previous work we studied this model where both MAC users are cognitive and showed that an encoding scheme based on Dirty Paper coding attains the capacity region for the Gaussian case.
