Overcoming self-interference in SM-OFDMA with ESINR and dynamic subcarrier allocation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
For a single user with multiple receive antennas, co-antenna interference can be the dominant source of impairment in a Spatial Multiplex Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (SM-OFDMA) system, particularly when correlation exists between ...

Multiple Access Outerbounds and the Inseparability of Parallel Interference Channels [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE GLOBECOM 2008 - 2008 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2008
It is known that the capacity of parallel (multi-carrier) Gaussian point-to-point, multiple access and broadcast channels can be achieved by separate encoding for each subchannel (carrier) subject to a power allocation across carriers. In this paper we show that such a separation does not apply to parallel Gaussian interference channels in general.

A Multiuser Detection Algorithm in the Uplink SC-FDMA System for Green Communication Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
The Single-carrier Frequency-Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) communication scheme is the key technique in green communications and networking for 5G for the uplink of SC-FDMA multiuser systems due to frequency differences introducing access ...

An antenna switching based NOMA scheme for IEEE 802.15.4 concurrent transmission

open access: yes, 2020
This paper introduces a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) scheme to support concurrent transmission of multiple IEEE 802.15.4 packets. Unlike collision avoidance Multiple Access Control (MAC), concurrent transmission supports Concurrent-MAC (C-MAC ...

Coverage and density of a low power, low data rate, spread spectrum wireless sensor network for agricultural monitoring [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A physical layer specification for a low power, low complexity, low data rate sensor network suitable for agricultural monitoring is investigated. Code division multiple access (CDMA) with high processing gain is used to facilitate transmission powers ...

Partial Interference and Its Performance Impact on Wireless Multiple Access Networks

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2010
To determine the capacity of wireless multiple access networks, the interference among the wireless links must be accurately modeled. In this paper, we formalize the notion of the partial interference phenomenon observed in many recent wireless ...

Cognition and Cooperation in Interfered Multiple Access Channels

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
In this work, we investigate a three-user cognitive communication network where a primary two-user multiple access channel suffers interference from a secondary point-to-point channel, sharing the same medium. While the point-to-point channel transmitter—

Combining precoding and equalization for interference cancellation in MU-MIMO systems with high density users

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2022
In multiple users (MU) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) method can provide multiple access. However, a spectrum efficiency of NOMA method is restricted because of remaining an interference signal of
