Multiple access interference rejection code: LS code
A new code, LS code, was proposed for the IMT-2000 CDMA system. The code has special properties during a specific time interval: 1) perfect autocorrelation, and 2) perfect crosscorrelation. Perfect autocorrelation means maximum autocorrelation for zero time-offset and zero autocorrelation for all other times during a specific time interval.

Interference mitigation for non-orthogonal multiple access in heterogeneous networks
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique is a promising alternative for enhancing network sum-rate while increasing the interference experienced by the users. In heterogeneous networks, the signal of a NOMA user is affected by three types of interference; intra-cell, inter-cell, and inter-tier.

Time-Reversal Routing for Dispersion Code Multiple Access (DCMA) Communications [PDF]
We present the modeling and characterization of a time-reversal routing dispersion code multiple access (TR-DCMA) system. We show that this system maintains the low complexity advantage of DCMA transceivers while offering dynamic adaptivity for practial ...

On the Optimality of Treating Inter-Cell Interference as Noise in Uplink Cellular Networks [PDF]
In this paper, we explore the information-theoretic optimality of treating interference as noise (TIN) in cellular networks. We focus on uplink scenarios modeled by the Gaussian interfering multiple access channel (IMAC), comprising $K$ mutually ...

Multiple Access Techniques for Bipolar Optical Code Division in Wireless Optical Communications
In this paper, multiple access techniques for bipolar optical code division are proposed for application in wireless optical communications. First, several fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and optical circulators are used to encode optical signals.

Joint power control and user grouping for uplink power domain non-orthogonal multiple access
Orthogonal multiple access schemes based on assignment of communication resource blocks among multiple contenders, although widely available, still necessitate an upper limit on the number of concurrent users for minimization of multiple-user ...

Polar coding for interference networks
A polar coding scheme for interference networks is introduced. The scheme combines Arikan's monotone chain rules for multiple-access channels and a method by Hassani and Urbanke to 'align' two incompatible polarization processes.
