Rough-Set Multiple-Criteria ABC Analysis

2006
Multiple-criteria ABC (MCABC) analysis is conducted using a dominance-based rough set approach. ABC analysis, a well-known technique for inventory planning and control, divides stock-keeping units (SKUs) into three classes according to annual dollar usage.

A modified VIKOR method for multiple criteria analysis

Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2009
The VIKOR method was developed to solve multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problems with conflicting or non-commensurable criteria. This method assumes that compromising is acceptable for conflicting resolution. Although the VIKOR method is a popular method applied in multi-criteria analysis (MCA), it has some problems when solving MCDM problems.

Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis

2014
A probabilistic approach to multicriteria decision problems can take in due account the uncertainty that is inevitably present in preference evaluations. Translating the preference measurements according to different criteria into probabilities of being chosen as the best alternative has two advantages. First, it makes comparable preference evaluations

Multiple criteria decision analysis - an integrated approach.

2001
The field of multiple criteria decision analysis (MCDA) - also sometimes termed multiple criteria decision aid, or multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) - has developed rapidly over the past quarter century and in the process a number of divergent schools of thought have emerged. Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis: An Integrated Approach provides a

Implementing multiple criteria ABC analysis

Engineering Costs and Production Economics, 1987
AbstractThis article presents the results of applying multicriteria ABC analysis to maintenance inventories. A large service organization and a consumer goods manufacturer participated in the study. The managers in both organizations used cost and noncost criteria for developing the ABC categories for inventory management. The study shows that managers

The analysis of multiple criteria in multiple-cue judgment tasks

Organizational Behavior and Human Performance, 1972
Abstract The linear “lens model” approach has been widely applied to the analysis of subject performance in multiple-cue judgment tasks embedded in probabilistic environments. The model is generalized here to situations involving several criteria about which judgments are to be made.
