Video Transmission over MIMO-OFDM System: MDC and Space-Time Coding-Based Approaches

open access: yesAdvances in Multimedia, 2007
MIMO-OFDM is a promising technique for the broadband wireless communication system. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme that integrates multiple-description coding (MDC), error-resilient video coding, and unequal error protection strategy with ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A Scalable Multiple Description Scheme for 3D Video Coding Based on the Interlayer Prediction Structure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, 2010
The most recent literature indicates multiple description coding (MDC) as a promising coding approach to handle the problem of video transmission over unreliable networks with different quality and bandwidth constraints.

Multiple description coding for SNR scalable video transmission over unreliable networks

open access: yesMultimedia tools and applications, 2012
Streaming multimedia data on best-effort networks such as the Internet requires measures against bandwidth fluctuations and frame loss. Multiple Description Coding (MDC) methods are used to overcome the jitter and delay problems arising from frame losses

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Quantization for Robust Distributed Coding

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2016
A distributed source coding approach is proposed for robust data communications in sensor networks. When sensor measurements are quantized, possible correlations between the measurements can be exploited to reduce the overall rate of communication ...

Error Resilience for Block Compressed Sensing with Multiple-Channel Transmission

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Compressed sensing is well known for its superior compression performance, in existing schemes, in lossy compression. Conventional research aims to reach a larger compression ratio at the encoder, with acceptable quality reconstructed images at the ...

Multiuser Successive Refinement and Multiple Description Coding

open access: yes, 2007
We consider the multiuser successive refinement (MSR) problem, where the users are connected to a central server via links with different noiseless capacities, and each user wishes to reconstruct in a successive-refinement fashion.
