Multiple primary neoplasms of the ovary and uterus [PDF]

open access: greenInternational Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 1982
AbstractMultiple primary neoplasms arising in the ovary and uterus were analyzed in 55 patients: 49 synchronous and 6, metachronous. When they occurred synchronously, 74.5% of the ovarian carcinomas and 93.6% of the uterine carcinomas were stage I lesions. The endometrial carcinomas were invariably well differentiated and superficial.

Multiple primary malignant neoplasms — case report [PDF]

open access: hybridOpen Medicine, 2006
Abstract The synchronous occurence of primary carcinomas of endometrium and ovary is well recognized. Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours (MPNSTs) may also rarely occur in patients diagnosed with malignancies of the female genital tract. We report a rare case of synchronous primary carcinomas of endometrium and ovary, followed by a

Analysis of polymorphisms in genes associated with the FA/BRCA pathway in three patients with multiple primary malignant neoplasms [PDF]

open access: goldArtificial Cells Nanomedicine and Biotechnology, 2019
Cases of more than three primary cancers are very rare. This study analyzed the genetic susceptibility of gene polymorphisms in three patients with multiple primary malignant neoplasms and examined the possible pathogenesis.

Multiple Primary Malignant Neoplasms in an Elderly Patient [PDF]

open access: yesCureus, 2018
Only a few case reports to date have described patients with three or more cancers. However, the incidence of multiple primary malignancies is increasing due to the improved survival of cancer patients, the prolonged lifespan of the general population, and better diagnostic techniques.
