Multiple primary neoplasms of the ovary and uterus [PDF]

open access: greenInternational Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 1982
AbstractMultiple primary neoplasms arising in the ovary and uterus were analyzed in 55 patients: 49 synchronous and 6, metachronous. When they occurred synchronously, 74.5% of the ovarian carcinomas and 93.6% of the uterine carcinomas were stage I lesions. The endometrial carcinomas were invariably well differentiated and superficial.

Multiple primary malignant neoplasms — case report [PDF]

open access: hybridOpen Medicine, 2006
Abstract The synchronous occurence of primary carcinomas of endometrium and ovary is well recognized. Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours (MPNSTs) may also rarely occur in patients diagnosed with malignancies of the female genital tract. We report a rare case of synchronous primary carcinomas of endometrium and ovary, followed by a

Statistical methods for studying multiple primary malignant neoplasms [PDF]

open access: bronzeCancer, 1977
Case reports and case series dealing with multiple primary malignant neoplasms provided useful criteria for defining and documenting this phenomenon. The formation of tumor registries greatly aided in identifying a sufficient number of multiple primary cancer patients and facilitated case-control comparisons.
