Application of Multiple Regression Analysis in modeling the role of the hotel industry in a country's economy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economic and Social Development (Varaždin), 2022
The aim of this paper is to present the relationship between independent variables that represent one of the indicators of hotel operations and their importance for the country's economic development as measured by gross domestic product in the ...

Multi-task Regression using Minimal Penalties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we study the kernel multiple ridge regression framework, which we refer to as multi-task regression, using penalization techniques. The theoretical analysis of this problem shows that the key element appearing for an optimal calibration is ...

A Study on Multiple Linear Regression Analysis

open access: yes, 2013
Regression analysis is a statistical technique for estimating the relationship among variables which have reason and result relation. Main focus of univariate regression is analyse the relationship between a dependent variable and one independent ...

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Multifactorial analysis of human blood cell responses to clinical total body irradiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Multiple regression analysis techniques are used to study the effects of therapeutic radiation exposure, number of fractions, and time on such quantal responses as tumor control and skin injury.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Estimators of the multiple correlation coefficient: local robustness and confidence intervals. [PDF]

open access: yes
Many robust regression estimators are defined by minimizing a measure of spread of the residuals. An accompanying R-2-measure, or multiple correlation coefficient, is then easily obtained.
