FeaEM:Feature Enhancement-based Method for Weakly Supervised Salient Object Detection via Multiple Pseudo Labels [PDF]
Salient object detection is designed to detect the most obvious areas of an image. The traditional method based on single label is inevitably affected by the refinement algorithm and shows bias characteristics, which further affects the detection perfor ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

A longitudinal study of abnormalities on MRI and disability from multiple sclerosis [PDF]
Background: In patients with isolated syndromes that are clinically suggestive of multiple sclerosis, such as optic neuritis or brain-stem or spinal cord syndromes, the presence of lesions as determined by T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of ...

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

Homogenization of Stokes Equation by Multiple Scale Expansion Method [PDF]
In this paper we prove the homogenization of the Stokes equation by the method of multiple scale expansion. In particular the cell problems are clearly defined and an algorithm for obtaining the homogenized solution is well stated in the concluding ...

Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

Radiologically isolated syndrome and multiple sclerosis [PDF]
Background Incidental white matter lesions (WML) are increasingly seen on brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in clinical practice. Demyelination consistent with MS is seen in 0.1–0.7% of the population as evident by autopsy and MRI studies.

An Adaptive Multiparameter Penalty Selection Method for Multiconstraint and Multiblock ADMM
This work presents a new method for online selection of multiple penalty parameters for the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm applied to optimization problems with multiple constraints or functions with block matrix components.
