Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

LLM‐Integrated Human–Robot Interaction System for Microrobots
This paper proposes an LLM‐based control framework for guiding microrobots using human natural language. This framework can convert the natural human speech into safe and executable command sets for reliable navigation in complex environments. The experimental results show high accuracy and robustness in task performance, demonstrating the potential of

An intrusive polynomial algebra multiple shooting approach to the solution of optimal control problems [PDF]
This paper proposes an approach to the solution of optimal control problems under uncertainty, that extends the classical direct multiple shooting transcription to account for random variables defined on extended sets.

Acumulation of data in a synthetic aperture radar mounted on a UAV
Background. Currently, there is an intensive development of synthetic aperture radar systems, including those deployed on UAVs. The deployment of remote control systems on board aircraft UAVs opens up wide opportunities for inexpensive and effective ...

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment

Geometrically Nonlinear Analysis of Axially Symmetric, Composite Pressure Domes Using the Method of Multiple Shooting [PDF]
An analysis is presented of the linear and geometrically nonlinear static response of "thin" doubly-curved shells of revolution, under internal pressure loading.
