Hybrid Harris Hawks With Sine Cosine for Optimal Node Placement and Congestion Reduction in an Industrial Wireless Mesh Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The optimal performance of a wireless mesh network (WMN) can be greatly improved by strategically placing wireless mesh routers. As a result, it is crucial to optimally locate the WMN routers for better coverage and connectivity.

Log-sine evaluations of Mahler measures

open access: yes, 2010
We provide evaluations of several recently studied higher and multiple Mahler measures using log-sine integrals. This is complemented with an analysis of generating functions and identities for log-sine integrals which allows the evaluations to be ...

Multi-frequency wavefield modeling of acoustic VTI wave equation using physics informed neural networks

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
Incorporating anisotropy is crucial for accurately modeling seismic wave propagation. However, numerical solutions are susceptible to dispersion artifacts, and they often require considerable computational resources. Moreover, their accuracy is dependent

Solutions to the Sine-Gordon Equation: From Darboux Transformations to Wronskian Representations of the k-Negaton-l-Positon-n-Soliton Solutions

open access: yesAxioms
With a specific Darboux transformation, we construct solutions to the sine-Gordon equation. We use both the simple Darboux transformation as well as the multiple Darboux transformation, which enables the obtainment of compact solutions of this equation ...

Period Analysis using the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (Lasso)

open access: yes, 2012
We introduced least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (lasso) in obtaining periodic signals in unevenly spaced time-series data. A very simple formulation with a combination of a large set of sine and cosine functions has been shown to yield a ...

Multiple zeta functions: the double sine function and the signed double Poisson summation formula [PDF]

open access: yesCompositio Mathematica, 2004
Summary: We construct multiple zeta functions as absolute tensor products of usual zeta functions. The Euler product expression is established for the most basic case \(\zeta(s,\mathbb F_p)\otimes \zeta(s,\mathbb F_q)\) by using the signed double Poisson summation formula and the theory of the double sine function.

Effects of Quark Spin Flip on the Collins Fragmentation Function in a Toy Model

open access: yes, 2012
The recent extension of the NJL-jet model to hadronization of transversely polarized quarks allowed the study of the Collins fragmentation function. Both favored and unfavored Collins fragmentation functions were generated, the latter purely by multiple ...

Why and When Are Evidence‐Based Interventions Adopted in Paediatric Supportive Care? A Qualitative Exploration of the Determinants of Photobiomodulation Implementation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

Multi-Delayed Discrete Matrix Functions and Their Applications in Solving Higher-Order Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics
A new class of linear non-homogeneous discrete matrix equations with multiple delays and second-order differences is considered, where the coefficient matrices satisfy pairwise permutability conditions.
