Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Detection of Four Intermediate-mass Stars with Cool Companions in Low Mass Ratio Eclipsing Binaries
According to the core fragmentation and dynamical capture theories of binary formation, binaries tend to form with nearly equal masses. The detection of intermediate-mass binaries with low mass ratios challenges these theories, as such binaries may form ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the general catalogue of 33342 stars for the epoch 1950 (Boss 1937) [PDF]
A revised and corrected version of the machine-readable catalog has been prepared. Cross identifications of the GC stars to the HD and DM catalogs have been replaced by data from the new SAO-HD-GC-DM Cross Index (Roman, Warren and Schofield 1983 ...

Resolved Young Binary Systems And Their Disks [PDF]
We have conducted a survey of young single and multiple systems in the Taurus–Auriga star-forming region with the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA), substantially improving both the spatial resolution and sensitivity with which individual ...

Photometry and spectroscopy of multiple populations along the AGB of NGC2808 and NGC6121 (M4)
We present a photometric and spectroscopic study of multiple populations along the asymptotic-giant branch (AGB) of the intermediate-metallicity globular clusters (GCs) NGC2808 and NGC6121 (M4). Chemical abundances of O, Na, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr,

Symmetrization of the Berezin star product and multiple star product method [PDF]
We construct a multiple star product method and by using this method, show that integral forms of some star products can be written in terms of the path-integral. This method can be applied to some examples. Especially, the associativity of the skew-symmetrized Berezin star product proposed in \cite{SW}, is recovered in large $N$ limit of the multiple ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Multiplicity of Massive Stars [PDF]
We review the multiplicity of massive stars by compiling the abstracts of the most relevant papers in the field. We start by discussing the massive stars in the Orion Trapezium Cluster and in other Galactic young clusters and OB associations, and end with the R136 cluster in the LMC.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
