Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Multiple Time Scales in Cataclysmic Variables: The Examples [PDF]
AbstractDecades of patrol observations of cataclysmic variables (CVs) show variations of the accretion rate also at a time scale of a few years which may be explained by a solar-type activity of the secondary and/or by orientation changes of the magnetic axis of the white dwarf in polars.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Jensen's Inequalities with Multiple variables on Time Scales [PDF]
The author briefly introduces the time scales theory (for details see, e.g., [\textit{M. Bohner} and \textit{A. Peterson}, ``Dynamic equations on time scales'' (2001; Zbl 0978.39001)]) and then generalizes Jensen's inequality to this context. Applications involving Chebyshev's inequality are also given.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Multiple Integration on Time Scales
In this paper an introduction to integration theory for multivariable functions on time scales is given. Such an integral calculus can be used to develop a theory of partial dynamic equations on time scales in order to unify and extend the usual partial ...

Existence of positive solutions for non local p-Laplacian thermistor problems on time scales [PDF]
We make use of the Guo-Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem on cones to prove existence of positive solutions to a non local p-Laplacian boundary value problem on time scales arising in many applications. © 2007 Victoria University.
